Video game addicts, especially those that are fans of this trilogy, rejoice! The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is the third instalment of the popular game trilogy of the same name, is now available on Nintendo Switch. It was first developed and released by CD Projekt on May 19, 2015. It was initially released for Windows PCs, Sony PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users, where the Switch hasn’t been released yet that time.
Reviews about The Witcher 3 on Switch
Before it was produced and released for Switch, the game was already reported as “struggling” even on the other gaming consoles. That is why a lot of avid fans were just afraid that they will just be disappointed when it gets released on Switch. However, CD Projekt proved them wrong and surprised everybody with the Switch edition of their game.
Apparently, the game is working perfectly on the Switch. This is despite the fact that the Switch is far more behind than the other consoles. The game’s Switch edition is completely identical to the other platforms in terms of the story and gameplay. It is, in fact, a playable version of the game, unlike the earlier versions which are crappy and lagging. However, you should not expect that the graphics of the game isn’t as crisp and lifelike as the other versions.
How the game works on Switch
Gamers know that the Switch can be “switched” from console mode to portable mode, hence the name. CD Projekt said that the game runs on HD 720p when played in its console form. It then downgrades to 540p when it goes portable. You can play the game straight around 2 to 3 hours on the original Switch. The whole game, including its DLCs and expansion packs, takes around 32GB of space. The Nintendo Switch version of the game is expected to be released to the general public on October 15th of this year.
